Company HistoryAble is a U.S. company that was founded in 1984, located in Pearland, TX which is in the Greater Houston area.We currently employ 23 full time persons in Texas, as well as a number of full time consultants and contractors. Able provides customized turn-key communications solutions primarily to the energy industry. A subsidiary of : Able Infosat Holdings, Inc., Infosat Communications, Inc., and Telesat. Notable Achievements
1984 - 1989Able Communications, Inc. was formed to provide communications services and equipment to the energy industry. Able joins Entelec association. Dealer agreements established with leading manufacturers to expand product portfolio to clients. Install turnkey projects for drilling rigs and petrochemical plants. Installed 24 hop, 500 mile system microwave system. Digital microwave systems to the deepest production platform in the Gulf. 1990 - 1992 Able receives commendation for work performed during the Valdez recovery operation. Able builds and delivers five REACTTM systems which were used for emergency response. Emergency Response Communications packages provided to major oil companies for well fire fighting in Kuwait. Several turnkey fiber optic 100MB Data, Telemetry, Voice and Video projects completed. Record number of Inmarsat terminals commissioned and delivered. 1993 - 2000 Able growth continues with addition to facilities. Able becomes dealer for MSAT provider. Anti-collision radar systems installed on new deep water tension let production platforms in Gulf or Mexico for safety concerns. This began a trend that has become standard on platforms of this size. Provided satellite solutions to assist state agencies and offshore platforms in the Gulf region. Projects completed in Turkmenistan, Lagos, Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea and Trinidad. 2001 - 2005 Able provided wireless network data and voice connectivity for remote Colorado drilling operations. Able becomes airtime provider for satellite services. Continue to support local school districts with Radio communication expertise. Awarded four new deep water platform contracts to provide radar collision avoidance systems. Installed GMDSS station for offshore jack up rig. In Egypt, integrated satellite and network system for offshore drilling operations. 2006 - Present Able was acquired by Infosat Communications in February 2006. This has set in motion the ability for Able to expand satellite offerings and services. Able Infosat customers also benefit by the proficiency offered by the Infosat Network Operations Center which operates 24/7 to serve our clients needs. Able continues to offer solutions to our clients communications needs with a focus on customer satisfaction.
